This translation project was done by Tiretxan and Tekre, two members of the Na'vi language community. New chapters will come out hopefully every one or two months. We used a lot of words that are not officially part of the Na'vi language (such as hìngulang, meaning mouse in our translation) and used some already existing words in a new sense (for example we stuck with the warriors series and used oare, moon, also as a measure of time, but also we for example used smoaoe, a heavy thorned plant on Pandora, for bramble). Since we don't want to overload you with a big list of words at the beginning you honestly would not remember completely anyway, you can just hover over such words in the text to get the translation or some help:
New words, like hìngulang are underlined red and will show the translation as well as the etymology when you hover over them.
Green underlined words like oare are words that exist in the Na'vi language, we just use them in an unusual way. In the tool tip you will find the official translation, as well as our translation.
To make the reading a bit easier, you can also find a break down of the affixes for words that have two or more attached to them. Example: fìfneioangteri
Per chapter, each word was only marked once because we wanted to avoid having often used words underlined in every second sentence. So if you stumble across a word you cannot find in the dictionary, just look back at the beginning of the chapter if you can find it there underlined! Only names will always be marked to avoid confusion as there are just too many cats.
