Kaltxì!

I am Tekre (Na'vi for skull, and yes, I actually use that name with some people in real life too :D), I am a 22 year old linguistics student who currently lives in the Netherlands, but originally I am from Germany, so please forgive me all the English mistakes this website has for sure!

As a child, I had no interest at all in languages. According to my teachers I was unable to learn them and should stop doing it after my graduation, and English and French class made me think I hate learning new languages. I was proven wrong when I got very bored one day and googled the Na'vi language from James Cameron's movie Avatar, joined the community and started learning it. Three years later I quit my former studies to move to the Netherlands and study linguistics, while also studying Dutch, Italian and Chinese. A while ago I also started teaching the Na'vi language, which turned out to be the most fulfilling hobby I ever had. I hope to be a researcher and also a teacher at a university one day.

Besides languages, I love video games, reading books and from time to time I draw or paint a bit. Since I started studying business informatics before I started with linguistics, I also program some useless stuff from time to time.

Donations

If you like my lessons and resources a lot you can give me a small donation if you want, I am currently saving money for my study fees next year. But only do so if you are very sure you want to support my work! I am not a professional teacher, just a random language enthusiast with too much free time. My resources and Discord lessons will always be free for everyone, and there are for sure more important projects to support than a random person you've never seen before :D
